Everybody is getting along just fine when I have to say, “Do you know what the difference is between Canadiens and canoes?”
I was surprised to find that no one at the bar, including Mackenzie, the best bartender I have met in a few weeks, had heard the joke. To be clear on how good McKenzie is, I’ve been to 238 bars in the past few weeks.
Anyway, if you’re at Joe’s pub near Rombeau Provincial Park, people will know the punchline, “Canoes tip.”
I left a few seconds after I told that joke.
