Downtown Santa Barbara has nearly a dozen wine tasting rooms representing their local vineyards.
I started at Oreana Vinyards and loved their Verdelho Portuguese style white.
Now I’m cleansing my pallet with a sparkling wine flight at Riverbench. Christine and Joachim are getting me drunk with their healthy tastes. Fine, they can do with me what they will.
Their 2010 Cork Jumper Blanc de Noir is my fave so far. It’s a sparkling made with Pinot Noir. Dry with some deep dark berry and citrus notes. Fa fa fa.

I did not hear that but it makes me happy. I still don’t have any job prospects so I want to leave the door open to all possibilities.
