I’ll soon be in Yosemite Park, staying through Sunday. The park website warns there is no cell service anywhere. I called my mother so she would not worry If she doesn’t hear from me for a while.

Mom: Be careful. Watch out for the coyotes.
Me: Coyotes are not the problem at Yosemite. It’s the bears.
Mom: But they’re so cute!
Me: A lot of people thought Ted Bundy was very cute.
Mom: Oh, yes, the man from Married with Children and now on Modern Family. He’s very handsome.
Me: Remember, I want whatever pieces they find of me to be cremated.
