I used to think the name BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) was funny until I spent some time at YAM (Yellowstone Art Museum).
There are two temporary exhibits in addition the permanent cowboy art and Euro impressionists. The first, Insomnia, features outsized nightmare-inspired pieces from Michael Zansky. The second, Broken Brushes, is German art from the Kaiser to Hitler, all black and whites from various expressionists with ties to Germany and Austria.
You cannot take pictures but one of the exhibits scared the fuck out of me. The Insomnia exhibit was a bit scary too.
