In Chicago I stayed at my friend Nathan’s lovely new condo (he won’t allow me to use the word apartment but it’s in apartment) in Boys Town adjacent.
I was with his group of cute and fun friends for a little more than 24 hours yet we managed to drink for about 30 hours. They all have secret pacts with the devil because they’re all slim, fit and showed no visible signs of liver damage. Even the one who is going on the Beyoncé cleanse this week because he’s not at his seventh grade weight.
One more hour with them and I would have been dead. I’m now in South Chicago, drying out.
