It’s in the Grove, a St. Louis gayborhood, what would you think? It’s a bar for bicycle lovers. And it’s menu is inspired by the owner, a recent Russian immigrant bike riding vegetarian. The beet borscht is spicy and rich. The pelmeni, normally a dumpling with peppered ground veal can be had veggie style or with pork. The sour cream is drizzled instead of glomped in. I had the pork and it is stronger than I’m used to as I’ve only ever had veal and I like my baby cows to be raised in a cage and killed before they acquire any gaminess.
Cheap too!
