If your doctor makes you wait or the appointment is really unnecessary, ask for your money back. This happened to mom today. She actually had no problem waiting and paying, but the doctor was shocked she waited so long and this specialist doctor felt her primary care physician shouldn’t have sent mom for the appointment in the first place. The doctor had the office manager refund my mother her co-pay.
I met this doctor once, a few years ago. While out to dinner with my family, my mother told us to look at a table filled with some professional looking women. My mom waved at them while telling us that’s her gynecologist and she’s a (whisper) lesbian. Mom likes to point out successful LGBT people to me plus she said, who would make a better gynecologist than a lesbian.
